How will we feed 10 billion people by 2050?

Screen Shot 2016-07-05 at 17.07.35By 2050 nearly 10 billion people will inhabit our blue planet and it will take 100 billion land animals to provide them with enough meat, dairy, eggs and leather goods. Maintaining this herd in terms of space, water, biowaste and feed will take a huge, potentially unsustainable toll on the planet. Finding a solution is going to require leaders who are on a quest to make a difference over and above the profit they may make. Questers look at the world differently and ask is there a better way? What is broken and how can I fix it? Questers are unafraid of challenging the impossible.

Andras Forgacs is a quester extraordinaire and he is asking the question is there a better way to feed the people of our planet? He is advocating  an eye-opening and thought-provoking solution, the biofabrication of meat and leather. Andras is the founder of the company Modern Meadow and he is on an adventure to change the way in which we think about and farm meat. He believes he has a solution that will offer humanity a more civilised way produce hamburgers and handbags and allow society to move past killing animals.
